Price Includes: All motor coach and land transportation, sightseeing, admissions, services of tour director and driver, lodging, meals as specified in tour itinerary, taxes, gratuities to bellhops and waiters at included meals.
Airport transfers are included only when airfare is purchased from Pilgrim Tours. Taxi service is available for those purchasing their airfare elsewhere.
Deposit Required: $300 per person will reserve your place. A $100 service fee will be charged for cancellation at any time in addition to our normal payment and cancellation policy.
Day 1: Seattle
We board our morning flight to the Great Northwest arriving in Seattle by early afternoon. Upon our arrival by we board our private motorcoach for a tour of the "Emerald City" with a welcome dinner at the famous Space Needle.
Day 2: Victoria
Today we board the Victoria Clipper for a cruise through the San Juan Islands to Victoria, British Columbia on Vancouver, Island. This scenic ride takes a little over two hours on a high-speed catamaran to the most English city in Canada. Upon arrival we visit the one-time limestone quarry transformed into Butchart Gardens - a landscaped treasure. On the grounds are the Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Italian Garden and Sunken Garden. Early evening finds you speeding back to Seattle once more.
Day 3: Mount St. Helens
We board our motor coach for a visit to the Volcanic National Monument at Mount St. Helens where we will learn of the details of the massive eruption of 1980. We continue on our southward drive to the beautiful city of Portland for our two-night stay.
Day 4: Portland
Our day starts with a city tour, and then we drive westward through wine country and over the Coastal Mountain Range to the wonderful Tillamook Cheese Factory for a lunch on our own. You will enjoy a self-guided tour and a little shopping before boarding the motor coach once more to head to Newport, driving through scenic dairy country to arrive at a pristine and beautiful Pacific coastline. Stop at the Yaquina Head Light House, Oregon's second oldest and tallest lighthouse, before staying over night in Newport with dinner at the Embarcadero Restaurant on the bayside.
Day 5: Sand Dunes
Following breakfast, we will board the boat, Discovery, for a Sealife Tour. Following a lunch on the wharf, we make our way to Florence along one of America's most beautiful and dramatic coastlines where lush green forests meet the ocean's edge. We will lunch at Moe's Restaurant that is famous for its clam chowder, before enjoying a thrilling dune buggy ride on the sand dunes. We overnight in Florence.
Day 6: Cascade Mountains
Today we leave the coast behind and journey inland. Our first city is Eugene, Oregon's second largest city, which lies in the Willamette Valley, where the Willamette and the McKenzie Rivers join. After traveling over the Cascade Mountains, we come to the town of Sisters known as the "Gateway to the Cascades." The towering forests of Ponderosa pines surround all the pristine rivers, lakes, and streams. We travel a little south and stop at the High Desert Museum, a state of the art living museum that has exhibits on geology, geography, flora, fauna and human history, before we check into our hotel in Bend for the night.
Day 7: Mount Hood
We complete our circle of beautiful Oregon today by viewing the majesty of Mount Hood, which rises 11,237 feet in isolation, surrounded only by the forest and alpine meadows. We stop at historic and scenic Timberline Lodge for lunch. This afternoon we travel along the Columbia River Gorge dotted with eight waterfalls including stops at Bonneville Dam and the 620-foot Multnomah Falls - one of the states top attractions. We will enjoy our farewell dinner in Portland where we overnight.
Day 8: Home
We depart from Portland for our flight home.
