Price Includes: All motor coach and land transportation, sightseeing, admissions, services of tour director and driver, lodging, meals as specified in tour itinerary, taxes, gratuities to bellhops and waiters at included meals.


Airport transfers are included only when airfare is purchased from Pilgrim Tours. Taxi service is available for those purchasing their airfare elsewhere.


Deposit Required: $300 per person will reserve your place. A $100 service fee will be charged for cancellation at any time in addition to our normal payment and cancellation policy.

Day 1: Arrive New Orleans

Arrive in New Orleans by 5:00pm. Your Tour Director is available at the hotel to provide information for you. Accommodations this evening will be at the Holiday Inn French Quarter.


Day 2: New Orleans, Biloxi

Morning sightseeing in New Orleans with a local guide. We'll see the French Quarter, Garden District, Lake Pontchartrain, the Superdome, plus one of the "Cities of the Dead". Later, we head to Biloxi. Accommodations this evening will be at the Grand Casino (2 nights).


Day 3: Biloxi, Mobile, Bellingrath Gardens, Biloxi

We're off to Alabama and Mobile. We visit the WWII battleship USS Alabama along with other artifacts of military history at Battleship Memorial Park. Later, in the afternoon we visit Bellingrath Gardens. Then we take a cruise on a real shrimp trawler.


Day 4: Biloxi, Jackson

A scenic drive through the pine forests of Mississippi on our way to Jackson. En route, we visit the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Museum. Then we stop at Fortenberry-Parkman Farm, built in the 1860's. Accommodations this evening will be at the Crowne Plaza Downtown.


Day 5: Jackson, Vicksburg, Natchez

Today we explore Jackson, including a visit to the restored Old State Capitol, now the State History Museum, followed by a guided tour of the Governor's Mansion. Then we are off to Vicksburg National Military Park for a guided tour. Natchez is our next stop and this evening we dine in the Ante-Bellum elegance of Lansdowne Mansion. Accommodations this evening will be at the Radisson Eola Hotel.


Day 6: Natchez - Lafayette

The first thing we do is a sightseeing tour of Natchez. Our local guide will take us through a gorgeous Ante-Bellum home. This afternoon we head for Baton Rouge for an orientation tour of the city including a visit to Huey P. "Kingfish" Long's superb new capitol. Then we travel to Lafayette for the next two nights and stay at the Lafayette Hilton (2 nights).


Day 7: Lafayette Sightseeing

We visit Vermilionville, a re-created Acadian Village that captures the French Creole atmosphere. The afternoon is free to perhaps take an excursion to see more of Cajun Country.


Day 8: Lafayette, Swamp Tour, New Orleans

We visit the lovely Nottoway Plantation before a swamp tour of the bayous. Expert local guides help us spot the wildlife. Finally, back to New Orleans where we stroll through the French Quarter. This evening is at leisure. Accommodations this evening will be at the Holiday Inn French Quarter (2 nights).


Day 9: New Orleans

A full day free to explore this enchanting city. Tonight we enjoy a farewell dinner at a local specialty restaurant.


Day 10: Depart New Orleans

Time for farewells before hotel check-out.
