Price Includes: 10 nights hotel accommodations, breakfasts and dinners daily, 1 picnic lunch, deluxe motorcoach transportation, baggage handling (one bag per person), admissions and sightseeing per itinerary, step-on guide service as shown, Pilgrim Tours escort, all national park entrance fees, ferry and bridge crossing tolls, taxes and meal gratuities.


Not Included: Roundtrip airfare from gateway city to Portland if not arriving by motorcoach. Add-on airfare can be arranged by Pilgrim Tours for individuals or groups.


Airport transfers are included only when airfare is purchased from Pilgrim Tours. Taxi service is available for those purchasing their airfare elsewhere.


Deposit Required: $300 per person will reserve your place. A $100 service fee will be charged for cancellation at any time in addition to our normal payment and cancellation policy.

Day 1: Portland, Maine

We journey to the New England state of Maine and arrive at our Portland area hotel for our overnight complete with a welcome dinner this evening.Passengers arriving by air will fly into the Portland Airport with transfer to hotel.


Day 2: Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park

After breakfast, sit back and enjoy the scenic drive through mid-coast Maine with a stop at the Maine State Prison store for some unique, handmade souvenirs. We continue on to Mt. Desert Island, discovered in 1604 by Samuel de Champlain. After lunch on our own and time to explore Bar Harbor, we take a guided tour of Acadian National Park. Following our tour we check into our Bar Harbor area hotel. Enjoy a Maine lobster dinner this evening.


Day 3: Nova Scotia

Rise and shine early this morning for our ferry trip on the high-speed catamaran, The Cat, as we speed our way east to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Upon landing in Yarmouth, we will travel along Nova Scotia's scenic coastline to our lodging in the capital city of Halifax for the next two nights. Along the way, we make a stop at the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic in Lunenburg, a beautiful seaside village Dinner will be included this evening in Halifax.


Day 4: Halifax

With our "kilted" step-on guide, we begin our tour of Halifax, visiting the famous Citadel Hill, strolling through Halifax Public Gardens. This afternoon we are off to Peggy's Cove with its picturesque lighthouse. We return for dinner in downtown Halifax and then to the Halifax Metro Centre for The Nova Scotia International Tattoo (only 1st week-end in July). Thrill to the military and civilian bands, massed pipes and drums, choirs, dancers, and military displays.


Day 5: Eastern Shore

Our day begins with a memorable drive along Nova Scotia's Eastern Shore, also known as Marine Drive, where forest meets the sea. Our route wends its way through a land of pristine coastal beauty. We visit Sherbrooke Village, a living history museum of restored buildings which looks as it did 100 years ago. We continue along the Eastern Shore to Cape Breton Island to visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum in Baddeck. Overnight in Baddeck for the next two evenings.


Day 6: Cabot Trail

Today travel one of the most scenic highways on the continent, the Cabot Trail. We head north towards the Cape Breton National Park with its more than 350 square miles of protected highlands and coastal wilderness. A picnic lunch will be included in the park. We make a stop in Cheticamp, a busy fishing village with a thriving Acadian culture, and continue along the trail through such picturesque villages as Belle Cote and Grand Etang. We return to Baddeck at day's end with dinner at our hotel.


Day 7: Prince Edward Island

This morning, we travel to the town of Pictou to visit the Hector Heritage Quay, featuring a replica of the ship used to transport Scottish immigrants. We board the ferry for our trip to Prince Edward Island, our destination for two nights. Attend dinner and a performance of Anne of Green Gables, the Musical.


Day 8: Anne of Green Gables

A full day of the sights, legends, and history of Prince Edward Island await us as we journey across Canada's tiniest province. Prince Edward Island National Park, Woodleigh Replicas, and of course Green Gables, "Anne's" house, are some of the places we will visit today with our guide. This evening enjoy a Mariners Feast with local entertainers who fiddle and perform step-dancing along with Celtic music.


Day 9: Reversing Falls & Magnetic Hill

Our adventure today begins by crossing 12.9 kilometer Confederation Bridge back to the mainland. Upon reaching New Brunswick, we have a brief stop at magical "Magnetic Hill" before traveling along the Bay of Fundy. We stop at Hopewell Rocks before driving through Fundy National Park on our way to the Loyalist city of St. John. After a brief guided tour of St. John, enjoy dinner overlooking the Reversing Falls and an overnight in our St. John Hotel.


Day 10: Return to Maine

We return to the USA this morning and travel to the coastal town of Freeport, home of L.L. Bean and many more outlets. We have free time before dinner and then travel south to our Portland area hotel for overnight.


Day 11: Homeward Bound

Our tour comes to an end today as we transfer to the airport for our flight or coach to our homeward destination.
