Price Includes: All motor coach and land transportation, sightseeing, admissions, services of tour director and driver, lodging, meals as specified in tour itinerary, taxes, gratuities to bellhops and waiters at included meals.


Not Included: Cost of obtaining passports or visas, laundry, meals, beverages or sightseeing not included in the itinerary, travel insurance, gratuity to guide, driver, communication charges, & excess baggage fees. Port charges and gratuities to crew are not included on cruises.


Airport transfers are included only when airfare is purchased from Pilgrim Tours. Taxi service is available for those purchasing their airfare elsewhere.


Deposit Required: $300 per person will reserve your place. A $100 service fee will be charged for cancellation at any time in addition to our normal payment and cancellation policy.

Day 1: Halifax

Tour members will check into their downtown hotel where they will meet their tour director for a hosted dinner.


Day 2: Sydney

A morning tour includes Citadel Hill, and Fairview Cemetery where over 100 people are buried from the Titanic voyage. Visit Sherbrooke Village, which will take you back to the gold-mining years of the 1860's. From here we continue our hotel in Sydney.


Day 3: Corner Brook

Travel by ferry across the Cabot Strait to Port-aux-Basques, Newfoundland. A later arrival in Corner Brook, where we will soon savor the wonderful hospitality of the Newfoundland people.


Day 4: Grand Falls

Gross Morne National Park will be the highlight of your day today. With its outstanding geology, this park was proclaimed a World Heritage site in 1987. It is said that in 1000 AD the Vikings landed here. Visit the park visitor center where you will see a film about the park before heading to Rocky Harbor for lunch. Depart later today for Grand Falls.


Day 5: Fortune • Grand Falls

Today our guide at the Botwood Heritage Center will meet us for a tour of the area. Travel on to Point of Bay, which overlooks the Bay of Exploits and its many islands. At the tip of the peninsula we reach Fortune Harbor. Witness an on-site demonstration of the mussel farming operation of Fortune. Scenery, local history, entertainment and a mussel "boil-up" are all part of a wonderful afternoon. Return to Grand Falls later this afternoon.


Day 6: Twillingate • Clarenville

Enjoy another coastline drive along the road to the isles through the beautiful town of Twillingate. Iceberg Alley and Long Point Lighthouse are all famous points in Twillingate. Depart for out hotel in Clarenville where tonight you become an honorary Newfoundlander with a traditional screech-in ceremony.


Day 7: Bonavista • Trinity • St. John's

Discover the Bonavista Peninsula today by traveling to the tip of the Peninsula where John Cabot is thought to have sighted the New World at Cape Bonavista on June 24, 1497. From the lighthouse you will view the many puffins that have used the cliffs as their home. Continue on to the town of Trinity today. Trinity is considered a national treasure, where you will feel the Trinity enchantment the moment you arrive. Lunch will be highlighted by a performance of Summer in the Bight. This theater festival is one of the most popular events in Newfoundland, showing to sold-out houses all over Newfoundland. Depart for our hotel in St. Johns later this today.


Day 8: St. John's

Following breakfast this morning a local guide takes you to the city's historic sites. We will visit Signal Hill, the closest point to Europe where Guglielmo Marconi received the first transatlantic wireless signals; the Cabot Tower with panoramic views from the top; see the Old Town and other interesting sites. This afternoon travel on to Witless Bay where you will board a boat and embark on an exhilarating marine wildlife adventure. You will see over 2 million seabirds and quite possibly a few whales.


Day 9: Home

Our tour ends this morning with tour members making their way home. We hope you will have fond memories of this place of distinct cultures, interesting history and unspoiled nature.
