Day 1: PA Grand Canyon

We depart Lafayette Hills this morning as we head north through to the scenic mountains of Pennsylvania. Our first stop will be at the Penn Wells Lodge in Wellsboro where we will meet our step-on guide. For lunch, we will enjoy a scrumptious and home cooked hot lunch buffet at the Antlers Inn in Ansonia. Our guide will lead us to the PA Grand Canyon Overlook after lunch to view this natural wonder that is 50 miles long and 1,000 feet deep. Next, "Wagons Ho!" as we take a covered wagon ride along the PA Grand Canyon's upper gorge. Our overnight stay will be at the Penn Wells Lodge with dinner at the historic Penn Wells Hotel Restaurant. After dinner, sit back in the lounge to enjoy the piano music or enjoy one of the featured movies at the downtown Cineplex.

Day 2: Corning

Following our breakfast buffet, we continue our trip northward to the Finger Lakes area of New York. But first we will make a stop for a self-guided tour of the Corning Museum of Glass, home to the world's most comprehensive collection of glass and live glassblowing demonstrations daily. Lunch on own at historic Market Street in Corning before we proceed to Heron Hill Winery in Hammondsport. The tour takes us through the wine production area and after our tour; we will have the opportunity to taste a variety of wines as we snack on cheese and crackers. We head to our hotel for the next two nights, The Canandaigua Inn on the Lake, a waterfront resort in the heart of the Finger Lakes. Relax at our hotel this evening with dinner at the hotel and the opportunity to enjoy our waterfront accommodations.

Day 3: Finger Lakes

This morning after a breakfast buffet at the Inn, we will travel to the Sonnenberg Mansion & Gardens in Canandaigua for a guided tour. This country estate, a tribute to the Victorian Era, overlooks the Canandaigua Lake and in addition to the estate and gardens also houses on grounds the Finger Lakes Wine Center. Next welcome aboard the Canandaigua Lady at Steamboat Landing for a fall foliage luncheon cruise on the Lake. Learn about the steamboat, Indian lore and vineyard history of the area while you enjoy your lunch and the changing leaves. We now head south to Naples to the Widmer Wine Cellars for guided tours of this century-old winery which concludes in the wine shop with complimentary tastings. This winery is home to Manishewitz, Taylor, NY and Widmer Wines. We head back to Canandaigua this evening with dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4: Watkens Glen

After breakfast and checking out of our hotel this morning, we travel south to Watkins Glen State Park with its scenic glen highlighted by rock formations and 18 waterfalls. Spend time this morning observing the natural wonders of the glen before we head to the Glenora Wine Cellars for a delicious lunch at the Veraison's Restaurant on grounds. Our lunch and visit to the wine cellars come to an end as we head home to Lafayette Hills with an early evening arrival.
