Day 1:
Palermo
Independent arrival at the Jolly hotel Palermo. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day
2: Palermo, Monreale, Segesta, Erice, Trapani
After a buffet breakfast, visit the city of Palermo including the
Cathedral, the Palatine Chapel in the Royal Palace as well as a
panoramic tour of the historical center. Proceed to Monreale and visit
the Dome as well as the Benedictine Cloister which are in pure Norman
style. Lunch in a local restaurant. Depart to Segesta to visit the
Doric Temple which keeps in its stone the weight of a long history,
surrounded by a unique landscape. Proceed to Erice, a medieval town full
of myth and history, art and environment located at 800 mtrs above the
sea. Accommodation, dinner and overnight at NH Crystal Hotel.
DAY 3: Trapani, Marsala, Sciacca, Agrigento
After a buffet breakfast, enjoy an orientation tour of Trapani’s
salt-mills. Proceed to Marsala. Visit at one of the many wine-cellars of
the area and wine tasting. Proceed to Sciacca and panoramic tour of the
town. Continue to Agrigento. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the
afternoon, visit of the Valley of the Temples including the Temple of
Juno, Concord, Heracles, Zeus, Castor & Pollux. Proceed to Caltagirone.
Accommodation, dinner and overnight at NH Villa San Mauro Hotel.
Day 4: Caltagirone, Piazza Armerina, Ragusa, Modica
After a buffet breakfast, depart to Caltagirone famous centre of the
Sicilian ceramics production. Continue to Piazza Armerina and visit the
worldwide known Villa Romana del Casale famed for its well preserved
mosaics.
Proceed to Ragusa.
Lunch in a local restaurant.
In the
afternoon, visit of Ragusa, whose historical centre “Ibla” is one of the
most important testimony of the Baroque architecture. Proceed to Catania.

From the 3rd of November till the 28th of
February, the Villa Romana will be closed for works of restructuration.
In
alternative visit of Modica, very nice baroque town with a stop at a
typical chocolate factory.
Day
5: Catania, Siracusa, Catania
After a buffet breakfast, depart to Syracuse: whole day dedicated to the
visit of the most beautiful Greek colony of Sicily. Visit of the
archaeological area including the famous Latomie of the Paradise and the
Dyonisios “Ear” as well as visit of the island of Ortigia, the small
baroque old city centre of Siracusa. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the
afternoon enjoy time at leisure to stroll around Ortigia. Back to
Catania for a panoramic tour of the town known for its original baroque
style and for its streets built with black lava stone from Mount Etna.
Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
Day
6: Catania, Monte Etna, Taormina, Messina
After a buffet breakfast, weather conditions permitting, morning
dedicated to a fantastic excursion to Mount Etna, the highest active
volcano in Europe. Proceed to Taormina. Lunch in a local restaurant. In
the afternoon free time in Taormina the small medieval village called
"the pearl of the Ionic Sea", famous for its fascinating Roman - Greek
theatre. Enjoy time at leisure for shopping or walking through the tiny
streets. Possibility to visit the Greek Theatre. Proceed to Messina.
Accommodation, dinner and overnight at NH Royal Palace Hotel.
Day
7: Messina, Reggio Calabria, Capo D'Orlanda, Cefalu, Palermo
After a buffet breakfast, sea conditions
permitting, embark to Reggio Calabria and visit the famous “Bronzi di
Riace”. Drive along the Thyrrenian coast. Stop in Capo d’Orlando for
lunch. Continue to Cefalů, a pleasant resort well known for its
beautiful Norman Cathedral and the medieval wash-house built in the
rock. Continue to Palermo. Dinner and overnight at NH Jolly Palermo.
Day 8: Palermo
After a buffet breakfast, end of the Tour
