"Ye Must Be Born Again" (Made Spiritually
Alive)
John 3:1-21
1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the
Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said
unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man
can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily,
I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see
the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How
can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his
mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered,
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of
the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of
the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto
thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind
bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst
not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is
born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answered and said
unto him, How can these things be? 10 Jesus answered
and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these
things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak
that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our
witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and
ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly
things? 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven,
but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in
heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the
wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Saved, Christian Faith, Eternal Life
With God in Heaven
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved
the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in
him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but
that the world through him might be saved. 18
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is
condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the
condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness
rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the
light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he
that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest,
that they are wrought in God.
John 10:9-11
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved,
and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The
thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come
that they might have life, and that they might have it more
abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good
shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Acts 2:21
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the
name of the Lord shall be saved.
Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other
name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Acts 16:25-34
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto
God: and the prisoners heard them. 26 And suddenly
there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were
shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands
were loosed. 27 And the keeper of the prison awaking
out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword,
and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do
thyself no harm: for we are all here. 29 Then he
called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down
before Paul and Silas, 30 And brought them out, and
said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be
saved, and thy house. 32 And they spake unto him
the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. 33
And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their
stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before
them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.
Romans 5:6-21
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died
for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man
will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that,
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved
from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were
enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more,
being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11
And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord
Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death
by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin
is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless
death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after
the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was
to come. 15 But not as the offence, so also is
the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much
more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man,
Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. 16 And not as
it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment
was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many
offences unto justification. 17 For if by one man's
offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of
grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus
Christ.) 18 Therefore as by the offence of one
judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the
righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto
justification of life. 19 For as by one man's
disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many
be made righteous. 20 Moreover the law entered, that
the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more
abound: 21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even
so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus
Christ our Lord.
