Price Includes: All motor coach and land transportation, sightseeing, admissions, services of tour director and driver, lodging, meals as specified in tour itinerary, taxes, gratuities to bellhops and waiters at included meals.
Not Included: Cost of obtaining passports or visas, laundry, meals, beverages or sightseeing not included in the itinerary, travel insurance, gratuity to guide, driver, communication charges, & excess baggage fees. Port charges and gratuities to crew are not included on cruises.
Airport transfers are included only when airfare is purchased from Pilgrim Tours. Taxi service is available for those purchasing their airfare elsewhere.
Deposit Required: $300 per person will reserve your place. A $100 service fee will be charged for cancellation at any time in addition to our normal payment and cancellation policy.
Day 1: Arrive Las Vegas
Arrive in Las Vegas by 5:00pm. Your Tour Director will be available to provide local information for your vacation. Your accommodation for the evening will be at the Las Vegas Hilton.
Day 2: Las Vegas, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon
Today's journey takes us through St. George before reaching spectacular Zion National Park to see the massive rock formations around the Canyon. Next on to Bryce Canyon National Park where sandstone spires reflect colorful hues from every vista point. Here we visit the amphitheater of "Hoodoos", the odd shaped stone monoliths. The ancient Indians told wonderful stories of the origin of these amazing stone formations. Your accommodation for the evening will be at the Best Western Ruby's Inn.
Day 3: Bryce Canyon, Salt Lake City
We're off to Salt Lake City, headquarters of the Mormon religion. Here sightseeing tour includes the Assembly Hall and the magnificent Mormon Tabernacle, where we may hear the chorus of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir accompanied by one of the largest pipe organs in the world. Site of the Winter 2002 Olympic Games, Salt Lake City is both a monument to history and a thriving, modern city in its own right. Your accommodation for the evening will be at the Sheraton City Center.
Day 4: Salt Lake City, Jackson
This morning we travel across the Oregon Trail, which was the only feasible route west for many hopeful settlers in the 19th century. We cross Southeastern Idaho en route to Jackson, Wyoming. Time to wander through this authentic old-western town, framed dramatically by the Grand Tetons to the north. This is ranch country. Why not stop for a drink at the Million Dollar Cowboy Saloon? This evening, we enjoy a dinner of traditional specialties in a local restaurant. Your accommodation for the evening will be at the Antler Inn.
Day 5: Jackson, Grand Teton, Yellowstone National Park
We visit Grand Teton National Park, popular for its scenic views and recreational activities. Then we continue our drive to Yellowstone National Park, the nation's first national park. The beauty of this geothermal wonderland is amazing to behold. Home to an astounding array of elk and rare bears, Yellowstone also has one of the few large herds of buffalo still in existence. This evening, we enjoy dinner at our hotel. Your accommodation for the evening will be at the Yellowstone Park Lodge for 2 nights.
Day 6: Yellowstone National Park Excursion
Today we enjoy a full day tour of Yellowstone National Park. We travel through picturesque scenery, full of vivid colors and images. We see the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone with the 310 feet Lower Falls, Hayden Meadow, the Midway Geyser Basin, mud pots, hot pools, fumaroles and geysers. We also see the blast of the Old Faithful Geyser, which erupts almost every hour, before we return this afternoon to our lakeside hotel.
Day 7: Yellowstone, Cody, Billings
After breakfast we head to Cody, its name derived from its most famous resident, Buffalo Bill Cody. Here we learn about his adventures during a visit to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, which houses historic weapons, art and tales of "how the West was won". Then on to the historic cattle town of Billings, Montana. Your accommodation for the evening will be at the Sheraton Billings Hotel.
Day 8: Billings, Little Bighorn, Rapid City
Our first stop today is at the Little Bighorn National Monument, site of the infamous 'Custer's Last Stand'. It was here, in June 1876, that Custer and his few men at last faced several thousand Native Americans in a never-to-be-forgotten battle. Then into South Dakota where we stop at Deadwood to visit Mount Moriah Cemetery on Boot Hill, the final resting place of Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickock. We reach Rapid City this evening where dinner is at our hotel, the Radisson.
Day 9: Rapid City Excursion
Today we travel through the Black Hills, stopping at Crazy Horse Memorial, which honors Chief Crazy Horse and all Native Americans. We also learn the story behind Mount Rushmore, followed by incredible views of this fabulous sculpture which took 14 years to complete, and depicts four great American Presidents: Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt. Your evening is at leisure. The accommodation for the evening will be at the Radisson Hotel.
Day 10: Rapid City, Denver
Today starts with a drive through the Black Hills National Forest where Ponderosa pines, spruce and aspen forests provide a home for a variety of wildlife. Then on through the National Grassland prairies of South Dakota and Wyoming en route to Colorado's capital city - Denver, also known as the Mile-High City. Tonight, there's time to relax or do some souvenir shopping before dinner at our hotel, the Doubletree Hotel.
Day 11: Depart Denver
Check-out time from the hotel is noon. There is time to bid farewell to your new friends before departing by hotel shuttle to Denver International Airport for your return home.
