Day 1: SALT LAKE CITY

Today your "Canyonlands" adventure begins! Your tour director will meet you at the airport at 1:00pm where you'll depart on a Salt Lake City Tour. You'll get a chance to see where events were held for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Overnight in Salt Lake City. Tonight, join the group for a get-acquainted banquet. (D)

Day 2: ARCHES NATIONAL PARK

Canyon Country beckons you this morning, and you answer its call by traveling south to Moab, Utah. This scenic town has been used as a backdrop for movies such as John Ford's classic Wagonmaster, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. As you explore, you'll understand just why so many directors have chosen to shoot their movies here. You'll visit Arches National Park, home of the largest collection of natural stone arches in the world. This evening enjoy a dinner in the heart of this scenic area, and overnight at the Big Horn Lodge. (B,D)

Day 3: PROFESSOR VALLEY / DEAD HORSE POINT

Today visit the unique country around Moab. First, travel up Professor Valley to Fisher Towers (again, a setting for Wagonmaster). You'll continue on to Dead Horse Point State Park for a majestic overlook of Canyonlands National Park. Return to Moab for a special treat: view a Hollywood blockbuster that was filmed in an area you'll recognize from today's travels! (L)

Day 4: MONUMENT VALLEY / LAKE POWELL

The ancient Anasazi left an indelible impression on the Four Corners area. Today you'll see one of the world's most comprehensive collections of Anasazi artifacts at Edge of the Cedars Museum. Enjoy lunch at Goulding's Trading Post, built for the production of the classic, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon; then you'll take a tour of Monument Valley, setting for Planet of the Apes, Maverick, Forest Gump and a multitude of major motion pictures. Arrive at scenic Lake Powell for overnight. (B,L)

Day 5: LAKE POWELL / GRAND CANYON

This morning get a close-up look at Lake Powell's fascinating geology on a cruise to Rainbow Bridge National Monument. Then it's on to Grand Canyon National Park! After checking into cabins on the North Rim, you may want to take a walk or simply enjoy a cool drink - whatever you choose, you are sure to enjoy your time at The Grand Canyon. (L)

Day 6: BRYCE & ZION NATIONAL PARKS

Bryce Canyon National Park is your first stop for the day. Bring extra film - this bizarre and beautiful "city of stone" will inspire the photographer in you! Continue south into Zion, Utah's oldest and most famous National Park. Spend the night at the Zion Park Inn in Springdale, Utah. (L,D)

Day 7: ZION NATIONAL PARK / LAS VEGAS

This morning, tour Zion National Park, with its "temples built by hands, not of man", as an early Mormon settler described it. After lunch we'll travel to Las Vegas, "The Entertainment Capitol of the World." This evening we invite you to a farewell dinner. You may wish to end your visit by seeing a glitzy Las Vegas show, or try your luck in the casinos! (L,D)

Day 8: JOURNEY HOME

This morning your individual transfers to the Las Vegas Airport have been arranged. Fly home today, knowing that you have seen some of Nature's most incredible masterpieces, and you have made new friends to share the memories with you! (B)
